The area also serves as a key junction for the transmission of electricity, with numerous high-voltage power lines converging in the area. The Kramer Junction Solar Electric Generating Station, one of the largest solar thermal power plants in the world, is located just a few miles west of the community. This facility harnesses the abundant sunlight in the desert to generate clean, renewable energy for thousands of homes in Southern California.

Despite its remote and rugged nature, Kramer Junction is an important crossroads for both people and energy in the region. Its unique position as a transportation hub and energy center makes it an essential part of the infrastructure of the Mojave Desert.
